Embarking on a cosmic odyssey with Joe Mattei's latest release, a journey that transcends the boundaries of sound and transports listeners to uncharted realms.

The four-track EP features three originals plus a stellar remix by Rafael Cerato to compliment the release perfectly.

Onus, the opening track, serves as a launchpad for this interstellar expedition with its hypnotic baseline and mesmerising synth work, establishing an immediate connection to the deep and mysterious. 

Assume follows, throwing us deeper into the cosmic abyss with a tribal like rhythm. Joe's meticulous drum groove conjures an interplay of light and shadow, evoking the feeling of drifting through the infinite expanse of space between sounds.

The release reaches its climax with Exists, almost like an an otherworldly transmission equipped with a driving bassline and infectious energy.

To complement this stellar journey, Rafael Cerato provides a remix of the title Onus that takes the track to new heights. Cerato's interpretation adds a unique dimension to the EP, infusing it with his signature style while preserving the otherworldly essence of the original.

Clubsonica Records opens the fall season by unveiling the fourth edition of their Sampler Series. Following its debut in 2021, Clubsonica's Various Artists Sampler Series is now a regular and much anticipated offering in the label's catalog, fitting nicely alongside the MMW and ADE showcases which operate under a similar ethos. The trending series has been a platform not only for a wide assortment of upcoming talent, but also some of progressive music's most notable names in Golan Zocher & Greenage, Kamilo Sanclemente, Ric Niels and more. Now embarking on the fourth edition, Clubsonica boss Juan Pablo Torrez has compiled the series' most comprehensive volume to date, featuring new music from (in order of appearance): Cybek, Electric Dada, KAZKO, Mauricio Brigante, Ruben Karapetyan and Solis (US). 

Making his label debut with selection one is Cybek. With a fresh approach to the melodic house genre, Cybek would enjoy a quick ascent, signing projects to Solee's Future Romance and Berlin based imprint IAMHER across the next calendar year. Now, continuing on an upwards trajectory, Cybek makes his Clubsonica debut with the astral sounds of ‘Eternal'. 

The second selection welcomes Electric Dada to the label with ‘Branium'. The duo's progressive style was immediately recognized for its emotive qualities and strong dancefloor sensibility. With a recently released collaboration with roku's Da Luka, Electric Dada now make their Clubsonica debut with the smooth uplifting sounds of ‘Branium'. 

Moving forward to selection three is KAZKO who returns with his latest studio creation ‘Back to Paradise'.. 2023 has proved to be a breakout year for KAZKO, adding projects for Freegrant Music, onedotsixtwo, Songuara and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden to his resume. Now, looking to build on the success of his label debut ‘Sun Dance', KAZKO returns to Clubsonica with the organic vibes of ‘Back to Paradise'. 

The collection's fourth selection is provided by Mauricio Brigante who makes his label debut with ‘Nma'. With a sound that often finds the creative space between progressive and tech house, Colombian artist Mauricio Brigante has found a home on BOOTH, Serrano's Kitchen and Exx Boundless, while electronic music tastemakers Claptone and Oxia have praised his work. Now, looking to explore a deeper side of his studio repertoire, Mauricio makes his Clubsonica debut with the soulful sounds of ‘Nma'. 

Selection five finds Ruben Karapetyan returning to the label for his first original offering ‘Hyperphantasia'. His emotive synth leads, cross-cultural motifs and tough, dancefloor minded grooves have made for a resonant worldly sound that is all his own. On the strength of this fresh approach, Ruben has earned praise from trendsetters such as Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while showcasing his music on the genre's premiere imprints in Meanwhile, Mango Alley, Movement and The Soundgarden. Having made his Clubsonica debut with a well-received remix of ‘Kamikaze' by K Loveski and Geronimo Eguiguren, Ruben now lands back on the label with the deep and enchanting vibes of ‘Hyperphantasia'. 

The release concludes with Solis (US) making his label debut with ‘Accelerator'. David's unique amalgamation of sound would earn him fans across all those genre spectrums, while landing key releases via Camel VIP and Tibetania Records. Now embarking on the most anticipated project of his young career, Solis debuts on Clubsonica with the darker monochromes of ‘Accelerator'. Tastefully nostalgic, it rounds out a must have fourth edition of Clubsonica's Sampler Series, one where an array of talented artists showcases their best in organic, progressive and melodic house trends.

One debut follows another: Next up on Stil vor Talent Zoo Brazil and Anthony Middleton's “Good Times" combines the result of a longstanding friendship and their first incursion on the label while delivering a true dancefloor anthem.

Anthony Middleton kickstarted his career DJing in iconic Marbella clubs and refining production skills at a pioneering UK music technology school in the mid-90s. His musical journey led him to the vibrant dance music scene in London. Meanwhile, Zoo Brazil, also known as John Andersson, earned Grammy and Brit Awards nominations, solidifying his reputation as an innovative and respected figure in dance music.
Guided by a shared affinity for analogue exploration, the duo employed an arsenal of vintage and modern gear, including the Vintage ARP 2600, Moog Model D, SSL AWS 900+se Console, and more. The resulting composition, “Good Times,” has seamlessly woven haunting melancholy into an irresistibly groovy symphony.
As a testament to its prowess, the track has been a closely guarded secret weapon in the DJ sets of both Zoo Brazil and Anthony for over a year. The mindset behind its creation was one of spontaneity, a deliberate choice to let creativity flow unhindered. “Good Times” stands as an authentic reflection of their musical synergy, inviting listeners into a realm where friendship and innovation harmoniously converge.
