From the underground to the main stage, Humantronic is a name that's been echoing through the techno trenches for years. Back with more chunky beats than a warehouse can handle, his new track, "Madspace," is poised to send the room sideways.

Frédéric Alvernhe, better known as Humantronic, is no stranger to the scene. With roots in Berlin's vibrant techno hives, he’s been crafting groove-driven anthems since the late 90s. His debut EP, "Kiss of the Flowerman," exploded to #1 on Juno, and he's been making seismic waves ever since. From co-founding the Neopren label to launching Manakacha, this guy's resume reads like a techno fairy tale.

But let's talk about "Madspace." This track is a hypnotic blend of analog warmth and digital precision, the kind of sound that gets the reload every time. Picture this: basslines so glitched-out and chunky you'd think they had a personal vendetta against gravity. It's like a fog machine in audio form, wrapping you in its embrace and not letting go. This was one of my highlights of recent times - 90 mins of high energy hardgroove and techno - lots of 90s references, an alien abduction 👽 and a chance to dive deep into all hallows’ eve darkness around 4am 😈 🌒

Following the success of Vol.1, ARTCORE returns with ADE VA 2025 – Vol.2, completing its two-part series dedicated to the Amsterdam Dance Event — the annual meeting point for electronic music lovers and industry pioneers. 

This second installment brings another powerful selection of 10 exclusive tracks from a diverse roster of cutting-edge artists, each delivering their own take on the sound of today’s underground.

04 Boston 168 - Headspin (Extended Mix) [ARTCORE Records]

First issued in 1998 on Superstition Records, Oliver Lieb’s L.S.G. project distilled late-’90s Frankfurt techno/trance into sleek, tightly engineered club tools with arc and atmosphere. The Black Album: The Vinyl Mixes (Remastered) presents the unmixed, original vinyl versions—newly remastered by Lieb—to foreground the detail in his drum programming, weight in the low end and the aerodynamic synth work that made these tracks DJ staples. Across nine pieces you move from the brooding momentum of “The Train Of Thought 1.1” and the nimble pulse of “Go Fishing” to the sinewy churn of “Cellular,” the pressure-valve release of “The Blaxone” and “Rotation,” the taut tension of “88” and “Freakz,” and the endorphin lift of “Hellfire” and “Deep Blue.” L.S.G.’s reputation for trance without cliché has been noted for decades. Lieb’s own note on the remastering underlines the intent: fed “through the finest analogue gear… tweaked to make it sound up to date while the music still is timeless.”
