Pretty Privilege is back with her second mix for FemmeDecks after making her debut early last year. A staple of Montreal’s queer scene, she has made a name for herself with her heavily dance-driven style that has filled local basements and warehouses over the past few years. She is also the founder of ‘microrave,’ an event and mix series that centres the city’s FLINTA* talent. Recently, she made her European debut with a tour last summer and was announced as a resident of LATEX, Montreal’s legendary kink rave.

I have selected a collection of songs that convey different states, starting with a serene and meditative peace, and gradually moving into moments of uncertainty that interrupt that tranquility, with trippy sounds, sometimes incessant and repetitive and other times with melancholic moments. It's as if we were navigating a labyrinth, looking for a way out, and each path we choose is reflected in the different styles we go through throughout the mix.

Thumb is a Ngunnawal and Ngambri based DJ with a deep appreciation for more interesting dance floor oriented music and innovative sound design. A co-founder and one of the heads behind Ngunnawal and Ngambri based record label FITT Tek Records (@fitttek), he has toiled behind the scenes and in front for years in the local scene, playing and hosting parties, and becoming a well known face around town.
Here we are provided with an almighty 100 minute blend of breaks, dubs, wubs and IDM glitches. Moving effortlessly from high energy dancey freak outs to contemplative dubby space outs.
