For this first EP release of 2014 on Délicieuse Records, we welcome Madmotormiquel, the Berlin based producer, label-manager of URSL. His magnificent ability to infuse eclectic sounds into his music that has been influenced by his long experience in the Berlin rave culture (Bar 25, Katerholzig, etc)is totally unique.

From the slow after-party vibes of 'Wonder Bitch' to the inner grooves of 'Mountain Top', our friend offers us two big tracks, shaped for the long Berlin parties.

Madmotormiquel teamed up with N.Y.N to deliver us 'My Ambition', an eight minutes gem. Pazul jumped into the boat for this release with a remix that intertwine 4/4 kicks with great percussions and guitar sounds.

GENESIS is about the cyclical nature of life, the constant merry go round of emotions the cycle of beginnings and endings, sunrise and sunset, death and rebirth. For the past 5 weeks I've been living aboard a sail boat that I share with six of my best mates. I set up a studio on board and I've been Writing, Recording, Producing, Mixing and Mastering my next single "GENESIS". This was an incredible merging of dreams, a unique time in      my life that I will never forget. The space in which we create shapes the sound and I can't wait to share the 
result on the 14th of May.

We’re happy to announce Stavroz’s first EP on Moodfamily: 'Silent Spring'. Having already released on labels such as Bedrock, Wired and Délicieuse Musique, the Belgian band is ready for their highly anticipated follow up, delivering an EP ready for sunscreen and ripe for the picking. 

In the title track, frivolous bass guitars accompany a broadly shouldered melody and gently carry the track to glory while a snug piano hides in the breaks, building a beautiful contrast. 'A Great Day to Fly a Kite' brings horns straight from miles high, happily intertwining with a ruthless groove, pushing the atmosphere and delivering a quirky impact on the dance floor. 'Should've brought an Umbrella' graciously closes the EP with a touching - and at the same time organic sound.

Belgian band Stavroz is praised for its organic and yet intimate house tracks. Some call it 'minimal out of the box'.

Stavroz - Silent Spring

Kicking off a new limited series on Circus Company, we return to JAW's solo project Midtown, which was released in 2014. Amongst the 19 collaborative tracks that saw the dOP vocalist sparring with musicians from all over the world, there was a spellbinding song written in conjunction with British singer-songwriter Piers Faccini.
“Traitor Creator” is a haunting track very much led by Faccini’s fragile vocal, with JAW laying down a subtle undercurrent of harmony. Meanwhile the delicate guitar tone and sparse percussion that shape out the song all lend themselves to a mournful, existential message. Even in the climax of the track, with its fractured guitar distortion, the Eastern lilt of the melody dictates a mystical atmosphere.
To frame the original track in a new light we called upon Nôze to deliver a remix. The pensive mood is maintained through a brooding low-end pulse, but the vocals are mixed to further accent the interplay between the two distinct singers. Using a stripped-back beat and threading in choice slices of the guitar alongside light touches of synth, Nico and Eze draw on the fundamental spirit of the track and take it to a new, equally captivating place.
Of all the tracks on Midtown, “Traitor Creator” was perhaps not the obvious choice for a club-friendly remix, but in such unlikely situations can some of the most captivating results be found.
