The French electronic scene is bursting with new talent and dissolving boundaries, acting as a giant melting pot of influences from all different genres. In this spirit, Virtual Forest Records is hosting a new 12-track compilation to showcase the mesmerizing dark side of this creative movement 🌀

Indigo Persona brings back a well-rounded 4x4 rhythm in his dreamy techno roller Zenith. Sprinkled with dark and cloudy pads to lead us into an 8-minute surreal trip to the underworld, this one is due to turn a lot of heads.

A live recording of Sampi’s DJ set at the end of an 80-hour party celebrating the new year at Renate. Featuring pulsating rhythms of deep techno, trance, breaks, dubstep, and occasional grime, igniting the dance floor and keeping the crowd engaged. With flowing transitions and daring twists, each track is a testament to the power of music - while tragedies are happening in the world, music never fails to unite, provide hope, and heal.

End of the Republic uses the words of Abraham Lincoln to produce a dystopian view of the state of the republic.

The music was made using a Soma Enner, a granular synth and two tape decks running at different speeds. It was of course recorded live with the words dubbed afterwards.
