James With The Drip holds a degree in Music and Computer Science from Saint Joseph’s College located in Rensselaer, Indiana. While in college, James performed in up to 5 different classical groups at a time as well as several rock bands, primarily playing bass guitar. While in College, he was also a national finalist in the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Competition.

A lover of all types of music, James produces a wide variety of songs ranging in Hip-Hop and R&B to Funk and Alternative Rock. A Hoosier native, James returned back to his home area and currently hails from Northwest Indiana.

Kentucky born group in 2012, with a new LP on its way, a talented mix of several genres, tactfully placed to reveal a true universal vein in all working generations. String music mixed with an electric texture brings new light to the modern and traditional music lover's ear.

Established in 2013, Big Atomic was founded upon a series of covalent bonds - both internally and externally. The magnetic force that pulled the band together was their shared love for music and community. Think of the players like atoms - sharing experiences with each other - while also harmoniously oscillating around a central purpose (the nucleus). Every step along the way, the band is conscientious of the particles that surround them, their contribution to society, and their core mission of building a better world. Their presence is big. Not necessarily in a commercial sense, but more so in an impactful way. Their interactions are intentional, inclusive, and with big hearts.   

Rising out of West Kentucky, Big Atomic synthesizes elements of funk, rock, jazz, ska, soul, big-band horns, and even bluegrass. Band members have included teachers, counselors, engineers, music therapists, environmentalists, bartenders, activists, and of course - artists: writers, poets, and musicians. They have shared stages with national artists such as Papadosio, Femi Kuti, Toubab Krewe, Ripe, Aaron Kamm and The One Drops, The Seratones, Mungion, Earphorik, The Werks, The Fritz, Marbin, Southern Avenue, Jeff Austin Band, Mojo Flo, Rumpke Mt. Boys and more while also staying heavily involved in the regional music festival circuit. Now based in Louisville, KY, the current lineup is Shannon Vetter (vocals, guitar, saxophone), Ben Vogepohl (drums), Connor Powell (Bass), Michael Vettraino (guitar/ vocals) and Brandon Bell (saxophone). 

Currently, Big Atomic are applying their momentum to progress the human condition. They are preparing for their forthcoming EP album release Body Politic, set to drop on June 25th, 2021. Influenced by numerous participations in non-violent protests, Body Politic faces the harsh truths of a city and world shaped by injustice, struggle, and a global pandemic.

If you come across a track 'with vocals', I still produced it, then wrote to it, and then and only then do I take MY music and MY lyrics and run it through Suno AI. This allows me, a long-time songwriter/producer, to create demos. I tag "demo" in most of the songs I post here.  This is because I want to sell these to bands/artists and work with them until the song is complete.

The "Origin: Unknown" and "mama (dream)" albums were made this way, with lyrics I had written to beats I produced over 15 years. I did not want to publish music this way, but being 48 years old, I decided to take the risk in hopes to gain attention/exposure so I can write songs this way, using Suno AI to perfect them - but with the intention of helping another band/artist record the song themselves. 

IMPORTANT: I can recreate every single piece of music on this page for any artists looking to collaborate. 

It's not that I am lazy or untalented, yet quite the opposite. I have learned over the years how important it is to stay ahead in music technology and how to use every single tool available to me to eliminate restrictions in my creative process.

The only song you will hear my voice on is "Last Hope."
