Written for my Daughter upon her leaving to live in Australia for a few years.

In A Heartbeat

Recorded on the Falcon with an early Cubase version. I had heard Ride On by Christy Moore and for some reason the title stuck in my mind almost subconsciously. I played drums myself with brushes and fretless bass as well as everything else apart from the great Eddie Armer on Harmonica. the song is about the cheap illusion of fame and how the real hero's are those who live ordinary life's.

Recorded on the Falcon and an early Cubase version. The track went through many incarnations and there is even a version with a nice wailing guitar solo on. However I decided to completely change tack to a more mellow vibe. performed and played by myself. 

Insecure Lover

<P sizcache="41" sizset="90">This track is written and sung by Tom Sarsfield a great buddy and talented artist.

A level playing field in a live gig situation where you leave yourself vulnerable when playing your own compostions. 
Competing with the jukebox mentality of many revellers. It was written after a particularly frustrating evening in the company of aforementioned open minded funsters. 
I play the Bass and E/Guitar on this song.


Give us a break Tom Sarsfield and BrenCanty

An experiment in writing a commercial dance tune and there are many different versions in existence. It was recorded in my pal Red Hughes's studio in Primrose Hill. I even approached the local Gospel Church Choir to record the vocals but they declined, saying the content was too racy and secular. The great musicians featured include - Mike Gingold on Tenor Sax , John Wyberg on Trumpet and the great John Ward on Hammond - Keyboard Solo only.
