This was the first track produced for my project, Undecember. Although most of the concept was conceived back in 2011, the actual track was produced at the end of 2024. It is an aggressively whimsical and nostalgic track – very much inspired by early 90s media (music, TV shows, and video games).
To me, a mascot has a certain kind of purity and a playful spirit. While the surface subject is blatantly obvious, it is symbolic of all the inhibitions lost as one assumes an alternate identity –  in this case, a mascot. While that can have some very foreboding implications in the wrong hands, this track focuses on the more playful and amusing side of such a scenario – especially as it pertains to what a mascot represents. Whether it’s stealing a bag of chips, jumping on trampolines to shoot balls in hoops, or escaping to Mexico. Indeed that escalated quickly.
