Manic Dream

I feeld good about this track since I pushed the limits again.
Improvements to the last session:
Drums:
- Grooves applied to drums, but not all of it, just the hihats. You have to create an independant MIDI-Clip just for the hihats to do it.
- Worked more on manual adjustment of the midi velocities and recorded more without quantisation (the musician's approach).
- Realised much better sounding drums that before, especialls the hihats in combination with a shaker and some Stereo-Filter-FX.
- Better sounding guitar's because of the better positioning.
- Multilayered samples for bass-drum, Snare and Hihats.
- Six guitar voices and polyrhytmic shit.

the songs lacks a base line, the synth1 plugin is not always satisfying. I still lack good synthesizers.
The result keeps my optimistic, this is acutally a raw mix. This can still be reworked to sound a lot better with automation fades, other samples etc.

Ableton Session #3

More or less badly recorded one evening I had the Hihat im my head, that it should be something constant but ducked. It ended to be polyrhytmic with a freshly build DruckRack plus a Hihat Track. Some other beat was sliced and controlled with the loop length towards the end of the track. Also leared from previous mixes: You should not crank up the gain in the master bus limiter too hard, or you loose to much dynamic. Guitar processed with Guitar Rig plus a really cool chain I developed to get this very hammond like piano sound. Puttit this hammond effect on a send and feed signals from the solo guitar and the keys in it.
