UK based Techno producer best known by his work on the Belgium based Token Records and whose style ranges from gritty minimal techno to Detroit influenced material. Originally a Mastering engineer, Ø[Phase] began producing as a sideline, releasing his debut 'Module Overload' on Steve Bicknell's Lost/Cosmic records in 2000. This was followed by a string of productions for London's Surface/Inceptive Records and Ben Sims Ingoma imprint, all of which saw consistent big name support throughout the techno community. He started working with Token in 2007 and since then his music has progressively gained more & more worldwide attention - most significantly on 2012's much acclaimed 'Binary Opposition' single and subsequent 'Reprocessed' remix package. Recent times have seen him remix for the likes of Robert Hood, Peter Van Hoesen & Mark Broom amongst others while avid support from Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock have led to several appearances at Berghain in Berlin. First teased out in his bumpin' Boiler Room set back in April, six months later we finally had the full track in our hands - and naturally couldn't resist a Debut. The title track off the "Busy Block EP", forthcoming on the burgeoning Audio Culture imprint, is a hefty slab of peak-time house. Severn Beach rides the familial chord progression through a backdrop of 90s IDM signifiers, dipping out momentarily before returning double strength. Get familiar - it'll be steamrolling you on a dancefloor soon.

Floor Ready present the 'Genovese EP', by Glasgow based producer Arctor. The title track 'Genovese' is built around a contorting synth line that grows and teases itself throughout. Up next is 'Stomping Ground', a short tool track bursting with energy and rapid fire ideas. Wilmot makes a welcome return to Floor Ready, taking the main elements of 'Stomping Ground' and reconstructing them into a spacious, jacking dub. Newcomer Scarbo also treats 'Stomping Ground' to a dubby remix, slowing the whole thing down and creating a darker, rolling tool. Arctor wraps the EP up with 'Jack Lint', which is a no-holds-barred industrial stomper.

Slam drop their 2nd release of 2018 as the duo continue to develop their unique and hard-hitting sound with the Constructivism EP. Despite the pair’s heavy touring schedule, they consistently deliver ever more impressive releases each time, exploring the realms of dance floor orientated Techno.   Opening with Mellifluous, surging synths are propelled by tough kicks and driving percussive elements yet the whole track is tied together by deep and emotive pads. Pantera begins to take things up a notch. A seemingly more stripped back approach gives way to hypnotic rhythms and effect drum workouts. Paradox lifts things further still, building gradually through effective use of subtle FX and a very in your face track structure. Title track Constructivism a colossal EMB cut, road-tested by the pair at Berghain just two weeks ago, closes out the EP. A well crafted and constantly evolving sequence burns at the heart and drives this monster home with furious energy.

The Black Mail series showcases individual tracks from a selection of handpicked artists, featuring known and established artists, but also those breaking into the industry.  This EP contains quality cuts from Marco Effe in Germany, Confluence from Russia and both Pyramidal Decode and Ketch are based in Italy.

Russia based Confluence once again turns up with the goods for his third installment and trusted member of the label roster, with his music also landing recently on SUB tl, trau-ma, ATT Series and TMM Records. “Warp" is a wild, driving analogue monster, stripped back but full of power, it’s a stand out club weapon for anyone wanting to destroy the dance floor, complete with a psychedelic vocal and tripped out atmosphere.
