I came up with the concept " YorùbáRhythm " because the music I play is sacred and connected to the roots, for me rhythm is the most important element in composition and that is why I choose to present YorùbáRhythm to the world.

The Talking Drums
WOOD THAT SPEAKS {IGI TO NSORO}

The Nigerian Talking Drum is closely tied to the Yorùbá language of South Western Nigeria.

The Yorùbá language is a tonal language that speaks in proverbs where a word alone will not suffice, all the drums you see below speaks and it has the ability to mimic the spoken word, hence it is actually a Talking Drum.

Yorùbá is the native tongue of the people of Nigeria West Africa and it has a distinct sound. It's spoken in Benin, Ghana, Togo, and among other countries, it as traveled to countries like: Brazil, Sierra Leone, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and USA.
