Donna Amini is a songwriter and singer. She has performed for years in various bands in styles ranging from folk to punk to experimental improv. Recently she took a break from performance to work on her new album, called Night Underground, which was released on April 1st, 2016. Her music draws on her Persian heritage combined with folk and rock, resulting in a sound which is authentically her own. Her natural sense for poetry makes her music enigmatic challenging and lyrical, and combined with her skill as a performer, she is definitely a musician to look out for.
