Intro to Samuel: A Plea in Barren Times

This is our second sermon in our study in 1 Samuel, and we see Hannah fulfill her vow to God and God establish His Word in the life of young Samuel.

Hannah Fulfills Her Vow

In this sermon we begin to look to Hannah's Prayer in 1 Samuel 2.  We see that she looked to God as her saviour and also saw God as the matchless one who is holy and above all others.

In this sermon we continue to look at Hannah's hymn and prayer to God.  We see that God is the Sovereign creator and judge over all the earth who will execute perfect justice and righteousness, a promise fulfilled in Christ our glorious King!

In this sermon we finish up our three part series on Hannah's prayer.  Hannah praised God because He guards the feet of His faithful ones and also establishes His anointed and conquering King.

In this sermon, we look at the famous account of David and Goliath.  Though David is unimpressive to his fellow man, we see that he trusts in the power of God to deliver Israel from her enemies, and God is pleased to work a great victory through David his anointed!
