I was a drummer in my early teen years. Then got into DJing when rap music became popular. Did my first party in 1984. Got my first club residency in 1989 (playing alternative dance music). Got into house music, techno and break beat shortly thereafter. Played various clubs and guest spots in NC/SC throughout the 90's and 2000's. Now I am into everything electronic. Korax, Michael Larkin, started his journey into the world of electronic music during his high school years, where he first experimented with creating beats on his PS2. It wasn't until a friend introduced him to the mesmerizing sounds of Photek that his passion for Drum and Bass ignited. During his college days, he found kindred spirits who shared his love for electronic music, and it was here that he discovered the thrill of DJing. As he delved deeper into music production, Michael quietly shared his creations on SoundCloud, honing his skills and refining his signature sound. His breakthrough came when ILL Omen stumbled upon his music on Instagram and featured it on his Bassdrive.com show, 'River City Rinse Out.' This exposure marked the beginning of Michael's professional musical journey, and he's been pushing hard ever since. Michael's tracks captivate listeners with their gnarled basslines, aggressive synths, and crisp drum patterns, showcasing his unique style. With more exciting releases on the horizon, Korax is an artist to keep an eye on in the Drum & Bass Scene.
