Welcome to Hydra Radio, a multi-genre mix series showcasing Hydra artists and special guests! Volume XXIV features Couch King!  Alex Visciotti, a.k.a. DJ Couch King, is a musician, producer, and DJ based in Reno, Nevada.  Since 2005, he has been a driving force in the underground bass music scene, rocking dance floors across the United States. DJ Couch King’s style defies easy categorization, weaving through a spectrum of genres, including Drum and Bass, Breaks, Halftime, Electro, and Bass House. His music is characterized by fast beats and heavy bass lines that push the boundaries of conventional electronic music.
Known for his rapid-fire mixing skills and turntablist flair, DJ Couch King creates an energetic atmosphere that keeps ravers on their toes. His live sets are a testament to his deep knowledge of music, blending modern sounds with old school flavor. Beyond the decks, he is a passionate advocate for the underground music community, constantly exploring new sounds and fostering connections among artists and fans alike. He continues to influence and inspire through his performances, productions, and unwavering dedication to his craft.

Recorded at Rancho De La Luna Studios in Joshua Tree, California and at Ninkasi Studios in Eugene, Oregon, and mixed by Geoff Nigl in San Diego, VOKAB KOMPANY weaves rock and pop classics winthin a bubbling electronic tapestry.  Vokab Kompany is a genre-defying masterpiece and the brainchild of pleasure-seekers Rob Hurt and Burke Baby.   With live accompaniments by a full touring band, VK uses heavy synths, guitars, bass and drums to blanket audiences with fiery rhythms and electro-hop anthems. Maintaining rigorous club and festival touring schedules, the San Diego natives have become hometown favorites garnering recognition at the prestigious San Diego Music Awards and have won several awards including "Best Hip Hop Album" and "Best Hip Hop Performance" -interesting feats for a band that could just as easily be called Electronic, funk or rap in the same sentence. HEAT

White dwarfs are the hot, dense remnants of long-dead stars. They are the stellar cores left behind after a star has exhausted its fuel supply and blown its bulk of gas and dust into space. These exotic objects mark the final stage of evolution for most stars in the universe – including our sun – and light the way to a deeper understanding of cosmic history. It is the opposite of a Red Giant star. This particular record  offers a different side of RGP as well, stripped down (no vox or instruments). It’s lofi experimental bass, meant for the zenning.
