Red Herring is a Progressive Metal band based out the Upstate of South Carolina. As many bands, we've had a very humble beginning; Most of us met in school, and originally formed as a band in the summer of 2009. Since then, we've had an array of line-up changes. Red Herring truely began after our first performace live (9/11/10) and have performed relentlessly throughout SC, GA & NC. We currently write and record our own material, in hopes of completing an album's worth of music in the near future. We put alot of thought behind the composition of our music, and we have become very passonate about getting the massive sound we want from each song. We have a wide variety of stylistic influances ranging from groove, to classical, to viking metal.
