Blix started out as a solo project in 2002 by James Peery. Originally just recording to record and sharing with friends in a small circle. Then around 2006 was asked to play a show, basically put together a set and that was the start of live shows. They consisted of a wall of amps/ cabs and a drum machine. Eventualy experimenting with loop stations to add overlapping guitar parts (all loops recorded live) After Dark was an album put together in 2006 of bits and pieces of the old recordings. Then 2008 started working on empire's end which had a very limited release in 2009. In 2011 went on to re-record empire's end along with an unreleased album winter sun . Both were going to be released in 2012. But instead got side tracked by other interest and just dropped out of the scene. 2016 was brought back when asked to play a show, played empire's end as a set with a few new songs. 2017 drum machine burns up. Best thing to ever happen to Blix. 2017 album Mankind Reborn were the first album recorded with real drums, they weren't great but definetly took it to another level. Then 2018 James meets Carl Crider turning Blix into a black/doom/death duo. Currently working on two albums with Carl and a somewhat solo album. Will be re-releasing , or officially releasing after dark, the 2011 version of empire's end,  winter sun and mankind reborn. Followed by the new releases that are still in the works.
