Inspiration: I was initially inspired by the visuals of an imagined tomb, or perhaps a long, dark catacomb—lit by an unearthly green light. In fact, the original title for this piece was "Viridis Gravis" which loosely translates to green tomb. I was struck by the dance-like quality of the main "rock" sections later, with bass that really steps out in the mix. I thought it needed a better, more accurate title.

Once I saw it was taking on a sort of different edge, I thought about the feeling that the Simon's Quest OST gave me—the retro/dance/spooky/fun feel of different pieces—and I renamed the track to reflect more of that feeling...a castle full of fun, scary monsters ready to do battle with. They've been there a looong time, and after they take you out, they might just stomp the night away to fight the boredom.
