Opening with haunting spoken word layered over intricate drum grooves and distant vocal textures, "What Once Was"gradually builds into a lush, melodic groove — where the bassline anchors the listener in the present while the atmosphere floats somewhere between past and possibility. The vocals, written and recorded with collaborator Sarah, unfold like a fading memory, pulling listeners into a kaleidoscope of emotion, vulnerability, and quiet strength. Rooted in Melodic House & Techno, Night Talk’s sonic world continues to explore the intersection of personal storytelling and dancefloor introspection.
