illàchime quartet is an instrumental ensemble founded in naples (italy) by fabrizio elvetico and gianluca paladino. it joins electronics and acoustic instruments. it gathers sounds and noises from the surroundings as well as scattered fragments of acoustic memories, which form the texture for the interventions of the musicians along rough and terse lines, often improvised. final target: to intrigue and to seduce the audience by means of an unconventional, highly kinematic sonic experience.

the band released its eponymous first album in 2004, then a contribute on the vol. 9 of bip_hop generation series (previous volumes of this compilation contained tracks by artists as murcof, scanner, mira calix, phonem). another release is planned for a compilation by the dublin-based label psychonavigation records.
the second album (february 2009), i'm normal my heart still works, is released by the italian labels fratto9/underthesky and lizard. some international artists have given their contribution to the album: mark stewart (voice of pop group and maffia), graham lewis (voice and bass player of wire), rhys chatham (avantgarde musician from new york) and salvatore bonafede (one of the most well-known italian jazzists).

through the last two years, the music of illachime quartet has stimulated imagination in other musicians. amongst them: mark stewart again, dirk dresselhaus a.k.a. schneider tm, retinat.it (a band that releases for the chicago based label hefty records), domenico sciajno (an electronic performer/composer who has worked with alvin curran, kim cascone, tim hodgkinson, cor fuller and many others) and emanuele errante (karaoke kalk, apegenine), and FERC (a side project by fabrizio elvetico from illachime and rossella cangini, an experimental vocalist from turin). the result is a new remix album out now (july 2012), named "sales".

Miniatures Records

The word can be read up and down and it is mirror-like compared to the vertical symmetry axis. The evocative sense of the word “Miniatures” referring to the past and that one of the record label referring to the present agree in a sign based on the symmetry, balance and synthesis principles that take suggestion by Taonism philosophy... according to which the universe exists in a dynamic condition of equilibrium that flows back and runs with the interaction of the opposites. The two halves aren’t in opposition but in a mutual relationship. “Miniatures” signs its own pieces with a label characterized by a contemporary sign but that refers to an ancient and qualified way to do from which are derived authentic masterpieces of precision and care. Music for fans, lovers of a piece impervious to the logics of mass-production.
The colour proposed for the mark is red in the positive version, white on red in that negative one. The reason derives from the etymology of the word “miniature” that is from the latin “minium”, a particular red colour, and it indicates an image realized to decorate ancient manuscripts. Employed in this operation were the “rubricatores”, qualified scribes that added at the end of the papers of the manuscripts supplementary parts in red to emphasize some sections. Also the word “rubricatio” derives from the latin “rubricare” and it means to colour in red. Later on, since the fourteenth century the spreading of small size illustrations had changed the meaning of “miniature” and it had indicated paintings, objects and forms of small size realized with great care.
The final sign contains also anthropomorphic abilities that put it even more within the marks adapted to the activities that contain perceptive and sensorial experiences like that musical one.

Yash Wadhera also known as WAAYU,
is a DJ and electronic music producer born and raised in New Delhi, India.

One fine day, he tried some basic notes on a synthesizer and eventually figured out his god gift. He can play any rhythm by just listening to it once. Over the years, he got acknowledged and supported by his parents for this unique talent.

He also came across one of his mentor who introduced him to electronic music and listening to these groovy tunes streamed over international radio shows late nights - while in school, he started developing a good taste. A lot of research and development happened and then he made up his mind to pursue this side of art in his life.

He is skilled in multiple genres - house and various subgenres of house, mixed with commercial is always ready at all times and he has a true love in his heart for desi tunes when it comes to Bollywood and Punjabi music.

He still keeps experimenting to bring something new on the table.
