Red Mantis Productions is a registered start up recording and production music studio since July 2017.  The company was started by Llewellyn Stevens and Andreson Chikuse, AKA “Benz The Beatboxer,” who met while studying sound engineering and music production at the same institution and decided to join forces to combine their individual skills and knowledge. In terms of making beats and composing, Red Mantis looks to create their own sound which is deeply influenced by Llewellyn’s jazzy and classical keys and Andreson’s Hip Hop flavour. Both being old school souls, the two producers also aim to not shy away from modern popular music making sure to cater for different genres by keeping an open mind to what other artist/creatives bring to the table. Red Mantis is always looking at new ways to improve their sound by constantly experimenting

Benz is a Malawian-born, Italian-raised beatmaker. His interest in creating beats started by listening to Dr. Dre beats in the mid-90s and was further influenced by local Roman artists that surrounded him during his teenage years. As his skills developed and focus became more defined, he ventured into one of Hip Hop's art forms of beatboxing and became the 2011 African Hip Hop Indaba Beatbox Champion of the year
