Barcelona post-punk trio, Low Blows, takes us through the depths of our collective psyche with their latest track and stunning video, “Misleading Blind.” This contemplative piece serves as a meditation on an era marked by relentless global challenges – spanning the spectrum from civil rights and inequities to the juxtaposition of health and pandemic, from peaceful dialogues to conflicts, and from enlightened education to the murk of disinformation.

The deliberate, almost apocalyptic, musical tableau of the song is adorned with synths echoing the pioneering days of Human League and Gary Numan, complemented by quintessential post-punk guitar strains. The lead vocalist’s dry, rhythmic intonation guides listeners through the melancholy of solitude.

“Misleading Blind” was written during the pandemic and post-pandemic, when we thought we should write something sad and not related to any kind of celebration,” the band muses. “It’s sad, yet ferocious and cathartic.”

In Mar Ordonez’s incredible surrealist video for the track, an uncanny reverie unfolds. A woman is roused from her afternoon slumber by a mysterious lookalike, leading her through a series of perplexing and disquieting events as she traverses the city in search of understanding. This compelling visual narrative evokes reminders of Maya Deren’s iconic “Meshes of the Afternoon” – an enthralling and disconcerting cinematic gem.

CRYPTOCHROMA is a one man project from Sint-Niklaas (Belgium). Jan Vinoelst started composing in the early nineties and performed in bands like Cluster M13 and Messier 39. The music is heavily based on analog synths, obscure atmoshperes and darker contemporary themes. Often inspired by new wave music from the eighties CRYPTOCHROMA makes his way in a wayward and lonely fashion.

Impair Pierre is Léonard Lampion's new alias, created as an escape route from dark basements and the influence of club music. Since 2017, Impair Pierre has been writing songs in his office in Grenoble using synthesisers, guitar, and voice. Finding inspiration in the events of everyday life, he seeks to develop a form of minimalism.

Promenades de jour - this record developed from a desire to write songs that were relatively refined and spontaneous. It brings together experiments with the Yamaha PS-20 synth, songs imbued with a certain melancholy, and others with a more satirical bent. The record is a succession of photos, landscapes, and situations both real and imaginary, like a walk in the spring sun.

Impair Pierre écrit des chansons depuis son bureau de Grenoble depuis 2017 avec différents synthétiseurs, sa guitare et chante sur certains morceaux. L’inspiration lui vient du quotidien et il recherche une forme de minimalisme.
