Exclusive: Jennifer Touch - Nails And Fails

(A) Good Friday basis is the day before, Holy Thursday. And both days are seemingly to become good days as Jennifer Touch releases her first ever self-release EP on her Bandcamp-page. The artist, who's originally home in Berlin, has been residing in Brighton for a few months now to work in the FatCat Studio and, according to Jen, "found a fresh perspective on music and life." Latter is something inevitable, probably even more challenging in these times, to create or come up with new ways to produce music and the connected creative process. However, the always and forever Riotvan family member, shares three new tracks with her audience under the EP's working title Moon In Aries. While the entire EP will be available on the before mentioned Good Friday, the take Nails And Fails is ready for your listening pleasure by now. The track is an experimental IDM-influenced excursion into Jennifer's current artistic state of mind, with bubbling chords and the artist's catchy voice, whispering singing speaking her way throughout the track and generating an atmosphere as well as vibe that crawls into one's mind (at night).

Jennifer Touch's EP Moon In Aries will be released on April 2nd, 2021.

‘Into You’ marries ominous 80s synth-pop vibes with the delectably menacing percussion that underpins the song. The vocals bring the true intention of the song to the surface – taking it from something that would fit perfectly on a 'Stranger Things' soundtrack, to a scrumptious indie-pop bop.

The song is about the coming together of two unlikely misfits. It’s describing the other-worldly feeling at the start of a relationship where your entire universe closes in and becomes only about that one person. There's a feeling of anticipation, excitement, and hope, but also a certain level of fear — maybe they don't feel the same way?

If I Was Gone single is a part of “Drifted”, an upcoming EP inspired by experiences of separation and resignation during the year 2020.

SIN COS TAN 
Synth-pop duo Sin Cos Tan have three albums and EP, a host of packed-out festival appearances and a big dose of musical experience. Finnish duo consists of two already established musicians: 
producer-DJ Jori Hulkkonen (who has put his magical producer hands on works also with Tiga, Pet Shop Boys´ Chris Lowe, Jose Gonzalez...) and Juho Paalosmaa, songwriter and vocalist also from famous synth pop duo Villa Nah. 

Sin Cos Tan duo received huge international critical acclaim for their self-titled debut album and single “Trust” back in 2012, including a nomination for ‘Critics Choice of Album of The Year’ at the Finnish Emma-Awards. The boys chose not to rest on their laurels and released only 10 months later their successful follow-up album ‘Afterlife’ including international hit single Limbo. Third album "Blown Away" was released fall 2014 with singles "Love Sees No Colour" and "Lifestyle" and "Heart Of America" and EP “Smile Tomorrow Will Be Worse” came out 2015. Then they decided to rest, but now 2021 they´re back again with new single “If I Was Gone” and releasing upcoming EP autumn 2021. They will perform at Kesärauha Festival in Turku in August 2021 and it will be their first performance in almost 6 years. No shortage of drama, intensity nor sheer pop perfection – this duo delivers. Tenfold. 

From their self-titled debut album in 2012 onwards, Juho Paalosmaa and Jori Hulkkonen have established a classic partnership within the duo-format, great songwriting and cool synth sounds. Sin Cos Tan´s track "Sooner Than Now" from their debut album (2012) was featured in HBO series 'Halt and Catch Fire' a worthy successor to Breaking Bad and Mad Men. It was chosen to series by music supervisor Thomas Golubic (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul etc.).
