Red.wav (Syahir) is a Singapore-based "genre-drifter" who explores the diverse sounds that pique his interest, from House to Dubstep and Trap. Raised on the internet, his childhood was a mix of EDM, hip-hop, and pop music.

He started producing and DJing during the pandemic, initially on GarageBand and FL Mobile and now Ableton. But after entering Civil Engineering and being exiled from his school’s DJ club, he began to take production seriously—obsessed with out-pacing the very people who were holding him down.

Eventually maturing into an up-and-coming producer hailing from Singapore, taking up the name “Red.wav” as an ode to the Pokémon character. Making it to the top by any means
