Celebrating our tenth release on the imprint, Austrian-based producer Gnischrew comes through with some luscious dub-soaked 140. The @subaudiorecords record label owner is known for sculpting highly detailed soundscapes and pairing these shifting auditory images with the deep grooves of Dubstep and European Dub rhythm sections.

Unlike our previous releases, SASDUB10 will be housed in a thick card sleeve, stamped with a design by Welsh-based Ink artist Joe Bevan (InkVoid) inspired by the surrealist mind of Salvador Dalí.

A - Shackles
Having been a dub for a hot minute by this point, Shackles will catch the eye of anyone familiar with Gnischrew's recent Frozen Plates mix. This is a masterfully crafted arrangement of soft and mournful pads, a powerful bassline and a huge reverberant space. The sum of these parts provoke a deeply profound and meditative mood.

B - Ruminate 
Whilst maintaining the 140 speed and style in a consistent manner, Gnischrew moves to a heavily dub/reggae-inspired skank on the flipside of his release. Of course including the obligatory thicc bassline, the producer provides a vortex of complex space arrangements and intensely rhythmic backbeats to complement the summery atmosphere which immediately manifests with a single spin of this composition.

All records will be hand-cut by the dubplate-cutting master Henry Bainbridge at @Dubstudio onto 10" transparent plates.

For this mix we linked up with the great Pomegranate Sounds. Representing from Hong Kong to France to Denver USA and everywhere in between. We did our best to cover sounds from across the world, as well as packing in some new and exclusive tunes. Welcome back once again for a heavyweight session. First hour of the mix is a snippet from our live session at the Dem Deya Sound System Residency at the Meadowlark in Denver. "Rolling" takes the listener through a modern interpretation of roots with a dub techno twist, while "Sovereignty" backs up the release with an ethereal rendition of modern steppers. As a part of Bristol's Young Echo collective, Ishan Sound has helped sculpt an array of music that gleefully exists on the more experimental edges of music, but his solo output under the Ishan Sound name has quite a specific and direct intention. Piled full of low end then riddled with interesting melodies and chunky percussive elements his music belongs in dark rooms, played loud on muscled soundsystems that can replicate the dense sense of dread that he writes and captures. With an upcoming appearance here at the Outlook Festival launch party on the 11th March we hooked up to discuss his background and the genesis of his dubstep influenced music (some of which you can most likely hear in this mixtape he's kindly put together for us).
