The Electroscopes is the brainchild of Paul Mansell, formerly lead guitarist for indie rockers Silvercord. It provides an outlet for his quirky leftfield dance music, and Red Robot is proud to release his debut 3 track EP, including the critically acclaimed Harder Each Day, which was featured by the BBC.

ELECTROSCOPES - My Body (Harder Each Day EP) [RR122]

Phuture Killa, or Justin to his mother, is a young producer from Cardiff in Wales. His music is a combination of killer riffs, tearing breaks and gut-wrenching basslines. Alongside the original version of Flesh which caught the attention of us here at Red Robot, Justin also serves up a new VIP remix and a new dubstep track, Recall. Also included is Oscar TG's acid breaks rework of Flesh.

Flatpack Jesus returns to Red Robot with a typically atypical track, The Limit, featuring crunchy lo-fi beats, deep bass and acidic riffs. Japan’s Human Boot Project mellows things out whilst Oscar TG ups the tempo and agression with his fierce drum & bass reworking.

FLATPACK JESUS - The Limit [RR123]

Hailing from Vancouver in Canada, Run Sheng & Praun immediately caught our attention with their intricate percussion, tribal rhythms and driving bass. There's an international flavour to the remixes, with Rob Zile (Australia) turning in a stripped back, minimal groove, Netics (USA) upping the percussion in his tech house remix and Oscar TG (UK) flipping everything round into a progressive breaks re-rub.

RUN SHENG & PRAUN - Bioma [RR124]

A founder member of Huddersfield hip-hop collective Urban Unity, Flipt has left the grey concrete of the Yorkshire town and is currently backpacking round Asia and Australia. As well as recording with fellow ex-Urban Unity member Will Scarlett as Flipt &amp; Scarlett, who achieved phenomenal success with their collaboration with Oscar TG, Run With The Flame, Flipt is also working on his solo album. Red Robot Records is excited to be releasing the lead single, Fliptman, a typically tongue-in-cheek lyric underpinned by razor sharp production by Rogue State. The remixes are diverse, dubstep from Iller Instinct and J-Tech, hip-hop from Seble, electro house from the GREATER good, breaks from Oscar TG and drum &amp; bass from VTech &amp; Hookah.

Fresh from his recent Urban Unity release, Social Rift, Will Scarlett is back with a re-release of his 2009 single, Coffee Mate, with a slew of new remixes of varying styles to tempt you. It's the story of Will's life working in a bakery in the north of England before he emigrated to Australia, and is told in his typically beguiling and humorous way. Remixes come courtesy of VTech & Hookah, Oscar TG, Jack Lucas, Human Boot Project and Tiger Mendoza.

WILL SCARLETT - Coffee Mate (Tiger Mendoza Remix) [RR126]

After the critical success of his debut EP with Red Robot, Back To The Sun, Mark Minor returns with a brand new track, Northern Lights, a tougher chunkier techno influenced progressive trance stomper. It's backed up with a mellow progressive re-work from Mark himself, plus remixes from newcomers Kooky and Anthony Griffiths, and Oscar TG turns in a genre-hopping remix with elements of dubstep, breaks, techno and trance.

MARK MINOR - Northern Lights [RR127]

Following his well-received remixes for the label, Fat Camp's VTech unleashes a five track EP of dark dance floor destroying drum & bass, including a collaboration with long-time studio partner Hookah, Book Of The Dead. Not for the faint hearted!

VTECH - Caged (from Bollywood Bastard EP) [RR128]

Vanessa Henry's second single release with Red Robot, this time produced by Oscar TG. The release includes remixes from Mark Minor and DJ EFX, plus Oscar TG also turns in a dancehall-infused dubstep reworking (http://www.soundcloud.com/oscartg/vhdsldd ).


VANESSA HENRY - Deep Sweet Lovin' [RR106]

Jimmy the Hideous Penguin is a young man from Galway with a serious scratch addiction. And shower as he might, he just can’t get rid of it. One of the people behind Galway’s ‘Community Skratch Games’ (an annual week long celebration of scratch music and culture), a member of the infamous scratch ensemble ‘Vince Mack Mahon’ and also a Dj / Producer in his own right, Jimmy has dedicated the best part of the last decade to advancing the possiblities of the turntable as a musical instrument. Red Robot Records is proud to release his debut EP, with two extended tracks, of which this is an extract.

BRENJO - Forever Alone [RR121]

Red Robot Records was set up in the summer of 2008 by Lex Loofah (Warp). We quickly grew to a point where we release a single or EP every week and either another single or EP or an album every other week.
 
Our ethos is simple, if we like it, we'll release it. We don't follow one style in particular, and we're not necessarily chasing commercial success (not that we would begrudge it!).

In April 2010, ownership and running of the label passed to http://www.soundcloud.com/oscartg, and he has built on the work started by Lex.

In late 2010, OneLove/Sony in Australia licensed the Kinzy remix of Run With The Flame by Oscar TG vs Flipt &amp; Scarlett to appear on their compilation, Dubstep Invasion, mixed by Kid Kenobi and Glove Cats.

January 2011 saw the launch of http://soundcloud.com/subtec-records, an offshoot of Red Robot Records run by Simon & Brian of Secret Groovers, to focus on the more minimal/tech-house/techno genres of music.
