Hailing from Gujarat, New Delhi based Jay Pei has come to represent a mature sound within the confines of techno. His delicate production style is revelating of a minimal, liquid strain of club music - often hypnotic; inspired by some of his favourites including artists such as Mind Against, Recondite and Gardens Of God.

The latest mix by Jay Pei features a similar arrangement - artists who have been inspiring him to make music since 2013; CTF, Patrice Baumel, VII Circle and Fideles. The mix revels in dark melodies associative of his sophisticated sound. Mixed with utmost precision, the mix is a gateway to the subliminal interaction of the senses.

Premiere: GuyRo - Midnight In The Damavand (Paul Sawyer Instrumental Remix) | Krafted Underground

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last decade, there’s a good chance you’ve heard the name Onur Ozman. The Turkish producer who now calls Switzerland home has been serving up deep, complex techno for years, with fantastic EP’s on labels like 303Lovers, Noir Music, Sincopat, and now @yoshitoshi. Compared to the many “business” techno producers of today, it would be impossible to call Onur’s sound formulaic. He incorporates complex, unique sound design that draws from acid, Detroit, and other styles to create something that is singularly his own. 

Conflicting Stories, his first outing for Yoshitoshi, features three sharp originals that demonstrate Onur’s intense approach to creating quality dance music. The title track combines a plethora of melodic elements which complement each other beautifully, and not in the fanciful, arpeggiated way you hear everywhere today. The track has more in common with classic techno than anything else and has a clear connection to the Yoshi records of the late 90’s. 

Inside vs Outside sounds like a more contemporary melodic techno track, yet remains very deep and mysterious, making it a great one for the after party. Then we move on to Planet O, a hard-driving acid techno belter that proves Onur can bang it out. The three tracks together create a diverse spread of sound that will surely have something for everyone. It’s a stellar Yoshitoshi debut and we couldn’t be happier to welcome Onur to the label.

Gujarat - Winner of Best Female DJ Telangana 2015 by TCEI,
secured a residency with sLick! – the hottest promoters of
underground dance music scene in India. Recently, in Maldives for a
three month residency with OZEN by Atmosphere. Still exploring
her ways to grow further she started developing love for music at an
very early age, and decided to do something with her style later
when her love for music evolved - she decided to take it to the next
level, she has conquered many dance floors with her unforgettable
approach to music, she also believes that music connects people
globally no matter what genre of music they love,there is nothing like
seeing people get up from a table to dance or the expression on
their face when they hear a song they love & she also loves to
educate people on music they have never heard.!

Her sounds are lusty and sweeping,interwoven with dreamy melody,
backed by the kind of bass line that instantly grips you! Her
energetic and emotional shows capture the audience, as her energy
flows off the console infecting them with euphoric dance floor
power, she delivers consistently, both in terms of technique and
tune, providing an overall performance package & creating magic!!
