To start thing off at Red Tape Rave, we present Johannesburg's Aeska!

“Aeska” or better known as Aleksandra Antonijevic is an aspiring DJ and Producer based in JHB, South Africa.

Her sound is mainly centered on a foundation of groovy and boisterous rhythms with fast frequencies and unique sonic oscillations. Her techno preference range is from 138-145BPM. 

Her sound is influenced by a few well known DJ’s and producers such as Marron, Terminus, Jeff Mills, Stef Mendesitis, Kaiser and others. She believes that music should be a journey, uniting the dance floor in intangible ways.

Matthew Basson, or otherwise known as BASS|ON is a Cape Town local who has a deep affection for fast bass and melodic synths. 

His style flows from  a deep industrial style techno to the more hard but funky futuristic trance. He hopes to bring this unique European underground scene to the light here in the Mothercity.

This month's podcast we present Amsterdam based DJ & producer, VSSR!

Amsterdam based VSSR is a DJ, producer and co-founder of ANTIDOTE, a platform focused on promoting upcoming talent. 

During lockdown, he spent his time crafting the sound he loves the most: fast-paced groovy techno. This resulted in his first releases on Complot Records and Codec Recordings. 

Make sure to keep an eye out on his next release, a 4-track EP with Parano, the 24th of September.
