Bondage Music present four new reimaginations of Sascha Dive's Beautiful People EP featuring some of Europe's leading artists. First up, Pornbugs take on 'Meditation'. Tougher drums, a groovy disco bassline from hell and sparseness set this remix out immediately. Sonics ebb and flow throughout conjuring up images of the sun rising after a crazy night out. Warm and inviting. Next, Italian Cristina Lazic applies her considerable talent to 'Beautiful People' featuring the vocals of 'Mr House' himself, Robert Owens. Again heading in a dubbier late night direction, her take is full of swagger and tension. Berlin-based Dilby is up next with 'Dub Chronicals 5'. Known for his deep tech mastery, it's no surprise this bristles from the off. Busy bass notes and sparse percussion leave acres of space for intricate sonic noodles and a cheeky acid line. Finally, Ukrainian sensation, Lola Palmer wraps things up with 'Late Night Up North'. A trained musician, and heavily influenced by House music heroes The Timewriter and Terry Lee Brown Jr., takes a bassline driven groove and subtly adds melodics to sweeten the vibe. Having both made their mark on One Records with individual releases, Shaun Reeves & Tuccillo are back on board the label this time teaming up to deliver the late night trip ‘Smile’ with a sleazy afterhours remix courtesy of industry connoisseur The Mole. 

Visionquest’s Shaun Reeves was one of the first artists to be involved with One Records when he remixed Subb-an’s ‘Soul Skool’back in 2010 and has since been a close part of the family with a further remix on the label and appearances at various label showcases. Ibiza resident Tuccillo found his way onto One in 2014 through a collaboration with Subb-an when they released the exceptional ‘Day Motion’ . After meeting in Ibiza, Shaun and Tuccillo began inevitable studio jams in Tuccillo’s impressive studio with outcomes that can already be seen on Shaun’s Visionquest imprint via the ‘Seclusion EP’.

Hot on the heals of Phil Kieran’s first Blinded By The Sun Album Remix project which featured Roman Flügel and Andrew Weatherall remixes, Hot Creations return with a second remix package. Mano Le Tough, Matthew Herbert and David Holmes all contribute to create a set of flawless cuts and a superb second Remix package.

Revered by his peers, Kieran has been producing music for over a decade, building on his solid reputation and forever pushing boundaries with his music. When selecting the second group of remixers, Kieran chose “people who have influenced me and still currently do, in some way I guess they have a connection to the record already. I made a wish list of who I wanted and to my surprise it all seemed to come together very quickly”.

Both heralding from Ireland, Mano Le Tough aka Niall Mannion was an obvious choice for Kieran due to the shared dedication of their craft, and leaves a deeply emotional imprint on Solar Storm. In 2013 Mannion released his debut album Changing Days on Permanent Vacation, soon followed by Resident Advisor ranking him #8 in their Top 100 DJs Poll.

Similarly to Kieran, English musician and producer Matthew Herbert regularly ignores the restraints associated with dance music, instead choosing a path of innovation. Taking Realities Forgotten into the early morning hours, Herbert punctures a swinging rhythm with electronic glitches.

David Holmes under his Unloved alias concludes the package with a cinematic remix of Think Too Much, overflowing with emotion, it makes the perfect conclusion to a stellar release. Also from Belfast, Holmes has been composing music for over two decades, winning his second Ivor Novello award in 2016.
