London-born DJ with roots in the '90s underground scene, Steve co-founded a long-running club night at the Cellar Bar and went on to play many more clubs in and around London and at iconic events such as United Frequencies of Dance and Delta of Venus, sharing stages with legends like Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes, John Digweed and Alex Knight (FatCat Records). Now based in Raleigh, NC. Steve is fast becoming a regular face in the local scene playing venues such as the Pinhook, Neptunes, Kinetic Audio, The Fruit  and various open deck nights. His style blends the driving rhythms of techno, the infectious grooves of deep house, and the driving sounds of tech house. He creates a dynamic atmosphere with tight, hypnotic beats and smooth transitions that maintain a consistent energy.

WHO IS RED WILD?

Red Wild is a producer and DJ based in Raleigh, North Carolina that is bringing his own twist of electronic dance music to his local scene. An avid synthesist, keyboardist, and devotee to the art of music production; Red Wild is an underground artist you want to keep your eyes on.

Inspired by great electronic music producers like Daft Punk, Justice, Disclosure, Larry Heard, and Kerri Chandler; Red Wild has created his own sound by fusing classic 90’s club with modern music production. Funky analog basslines, soulful chords, thumping house drums, irresistible vocal hooks- this is the sound of Red Wild. Or is it? Red Wild’s discography also reaches into techno, acid trance, and more! Never know what to expect with this wild card.

An avid contributor to his local scene, Red Wild’s ‘We The Beat’ EP was made working with local DJs and producers to make a truly unique track list representing a diverse and growing underground sound. His drive also ventures into live hardware sets, complete with drum machines and synthesizers, displaying a more raw and minimally processed form of electronic music.
