Majority of these songs are stories of a good friend we met as a child in sydney down near alamanda hospital, he was a chubby kid who used to dirt board down this big hill,
as he would run back up the hill his pants would always fall down and his buddies would yell out NUGGY! NUGGY!

This child grew up and became a drummer, he lives in a household with an evil mother that always brings him down.
These songs for him are like a musical autobiography written in the voice of reason and of course, the voice of his best friends.

So, what's with the band's name? We chose The Purple Sound Barrier mainly because that was the name of our band in 7th grade. The Purple Sound Barrier is and was:
