My name is Ágnes Staudt, singer of Slamballet, songwriter, composer, painter, graphic artist, designer and concept artist.
I am really happy to share with you our music! I hope you enjoy!
Near Slamballet I am working on other projects with other musicians, who are asking me to record sometimes an already made song or just improvisation on the top of their music. This is what I enjoy most! This is my favorite work! So I opened for making music, work together with people who are in a similar mood, who's project give me inspiration. (triphop, downtempo, dubstep, ambient, chillout, jazz, blues, underground...)

Life long music fan and failed musician who has always had a passion for music.

While playing around with my electronics phase I played around with making my own electronic musical effects equipment and then got into computers.

It was not long before I was making CD, covers, flyers posters and websites for the musicians I knew in Brighton. Always a good way to get into gigs free and to get invited to the after show parties. 

This really took off when I got my first proper digital camera in 2001. With the ability to take photos and short video clips and upload them almost instantly proving a big hit.

In 2006 I got my first HDD video recorder which could record for hours at a time meaning even the longest concert could be captured in it's entirety. YouTube became my main outlet and I have hundres of hours of footage of bands who played around Brighton.

2010 now with an up-to-date digital camera that can cope with prints up to A2 photography is back on the agenda, as well as keeping the video camera rolling in the background.

NASA's Artificial Intelligent Program aboard the International Space Station (ISS) is a therapeutic experiment in Neuro-Acoustic Research intended to reduce stress on astronauts working in the dangerous environments of space.​​

In this process, select musical tones and dynamic vibrations are transmitted across binaural frequencies simultaneously, through the human brainwaves. The theoretical intention is to provide psychological healing below the threshold of conscious perception. Therefore, this program has been adequately named, Machine Love.

Communications from the ISS Radio to Earth are carried out via Ham Radio, aka iRobot Radio, which is located aboard the Zvezda Module.

NOTE: "Over-The-Ear" Stereo Headphones are required in order to receive the benefits intended by this experimental research program.

Ree has been writing original songs for the past few years, developing her songwriting and guitar playing. She has also spent some time experimenting with the world of synthesizers, writing some alternative instrumental/atmospheric tracks too. Having spent time learning production/recording techniques at Kidd Studios, she then went onto study music performance and is presently on an artist development course in her hometown of Brighton. She is continuing to build on her knowledge and experience on her own and with friends/other artists.

Ree is presently focused on her band 'Wolf Like Child' http://wolflikechild.co.uk 
Wolf Like Child started gigging on the Brighton circuit in March 2013. They have played at several venues and have been well recieved. They are currently taking some time to focus on writing/recording and hoping to get back to gigging within the next couple of months. But you may catch Ree singing her songs solo at the occasional open mic or acoustic gig.

Prior to forming her band, Ree was developing her acoustic guitar playing, but she has now discovered the electric guitar which she plays in 'http://soundcloud.com/wolflikechild' and loves the energy it creates. She plays a Les Paul style guitar with a Fender combo amp. Creating warm rich tones and kicks in some gritty distortion with her Jackhammer pedal, as she sings about love & life, sometimetimes with a socio-political edge. The overall sound of the band blends rock, folk, blues and dub.

Ree has collaborated with various other artists. Brighton's resident Dubstep DJ 'http://soundcloud.com/inasound' produced their first track, 'Runaway' which is online now. Ree wrote the track and lyrical content which then both her and Inasound remixed and added lots of bass. DJ Inasound took the track and played it out at a couple of venues in Brighton. Got people dancing! They intend to produce more music together in the near future. You can check out Inasound's music at http://soundcloud.com/inasound

A recent collaboration with http://soundcloud.com/mute-speaker, (also based in Brighton) resulted in a track called 'Green Bean Soup'. Ree wrote the lyrics and performed the vocal. The track features on Mute Speaker's debut LP, 'Smart Bomb'  released on his own label: imprint liquid noise records .. Mute Speaker ... Previously, Ree collaborated on a number of tracks (as her alter-ego 'Drumgirl') with 'http://soundcloud.com/heavyman' & 'Edgmonkey' on their project 'Darkmannaz' 'http://www.reverbnation.com/darkmannaz', producing ambient breakbeat/drum and bass. She also contributed backing vocals to two 'Tractor Countdown' albums 'Shedworks' and 'Dust Diaries'.

Ree entered 'THE PEOPLES MUSIC AWARDS' for 'The Best female solo artist' and the 'TripHop/HipHop/R&B' chart IN 2009 with her track called 'No time to waste'...She made it through to the 2nd round for the 'TRIPHOP/HIPHOP/R&B' category and was chosen by guest judges at The People's Music Awards in 2009 to go through to the 'final round' in the BEST FEMALE SOLO ARTIST genre .. Unfortunately she was not one of the 2 out of 5 artists to win the final round but she received some great feedback from the public and the music industry guest judges...
