I'm a Tech Professional by day and Blogger, Producer and aspiring DJ by night. I Try to avoid automation as much as possible to convey the true feeling of the music as it was being played at the time it was made. 

I don't believe in perfection and I think it takes away from the act of making the music by overly correcting  the end product, as such some of these songs, beats, instrumentals?? will have "impurities" so if you hear a weird click, pop or off key note it was left in intentionally.
