Rangaberry (aka Simeon Lawson) is a part of a new generation of Djs. Growing up with an ever-increasing amount of technology at his disposal, he was always attempting to blend that with his eclectic taste and love for music. From a young age, Simeon's curiosity for all things musical was satisfied through his playing of a range of instruments including piano, percussion and even clarinet. As he matured, so did his taste in music branching out to include almost every genre.
Simeon's catalyst to explore the world of the Dj came, as many others, on his first trip to a club. Since then, his interest has only expanded. Fuse Simeon's broad musical taste, his love for technology and his appreciation of a quality party, and you have one cracking combination.
When Rangaberry's playing, expect a quality selection of house, electro, indie and dance, with a bit of funk thrown in for good measure. He's honed his skills playing a variety of events from small house parties to large public gatherings, including venues such as Elysium Lakeside, The Monastery, Electric Playground, Uber, Unity Nightclub, The Fox Hotel, Chalk Hotel, Kaliber, as well as a residency at Chalk Hotel and formerly Disco Entertainment's "Anarchy at Royal Mail Hotel", all with high praise. Throughout these adventures, he has supported the likes of Hook N Sling, Loot N Plunder, Danny T, Tooshoes, Emily Scott, Disko Diva and many others.
The future is bright for Rangaberry, with an anticipated move into production on the cards. Watch out for that head of red hair at a venue near you soon!
