Gimme gimme gimme gimme Gimme That La Croix. This Denver dance pop duo, obsessed with sparkling water, just hit us with a super-soaker glam beat about everyone’s favorite sugar-free treat, LaCroix. Musical group Bun Bun is one part Reed Fox, one part Snarklet, and together they create electronic comedic instructional dance music. Following their singles “Urban Bee” and “We Love To Hack”, Bun Bun takes on a new tone of admiration in an ode to their favorite zero-calorie beverage.

Why did they write a song about LaCroix? Was it for love? Well…

“We began to understand early on that our LaCroix habit would soon be too expensive to keep up - unless we wrote a song about it. There are just too many uses for sparkling water. You can drink it, you can gargle it. You can wash your hair with it! All of this is to say, it’s gotten more and more difficult to say no to a glass of innocent LaCroix! So we made a song for it,” Bun Bun tells us at Moon Magnet Studios, “Our goal was simple - write a song equally as irresistible as LaCroix sparkling water. Then, they’ll have to notice!”

“I started cutting my gasoline with La Croix when prices went up recently,” singer and synther, Snarklet explains, unprompted. “It truly is a one-of-a-kind elixir. I sure hope I get to drink a La Croix tonight!”

Snarklet and Reed Fox have been drinking LaCroix naturally essenced sparkling water every day for the past two and a half years. The original inspiration for the song came from the sheer delight in tasting LaCroix’s Key Lime flavor for the first time.

“I really didn’t think I would like it, after trying the Lime flavor and all. It’s not bad or anything - Cranberry really is the worst of the flavors, but Lime is just sort of… disappointing. But when Reed persuaded me to try the Key Lime, it was like a new world of gratitude opened up inside of me, and the lyrics just came fumbling out,” Snarklet recalls.

“The beat and the drops were all inspired by that moment. It was like God was speaking through my hands, clicking and dragging each 808 into place. The risers, the kicks, the barks, the claps - they all had a purpose, you know?” Reed Fox adds, “We really can’t thank anyone but LaCroix for opening up the channel. Without them, we never would have made it this far. We don’t know anyone who works there yet, but we love them and think about them often.”

Along with this love song, Bun Bun has also decided to make a video for their future friends at LaCroix - out on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook on August 19th, 2021. 

“We just want to thank LaCroix for getting us so far,” Bun Bun said, Snarklet stifling a tear, and Reed patting her shoulder gently, “We truly can’t wait for them to call us soon, asking if they can sponsor us. When we talk, it will be like talking with an old friend, or a cousin, or even an earlier or later reincarnation of ourselves. Who knows what will happen!”

"Glitter Power” by Reed Fox is an ecstatic ode to the transcendent power of glitter and how it can enhance the aliveness of the human experience. The song thumps through an elevated modern take on disco with wonky and organic synths making the whole experience feel gelatinous, squishy, playful and activating. Once the listener is lost in the flow of the dance Reed surfaces to invoke a mantra with freely associated words around "the glitter experience" that simultaneously summons the mushy feelings of psychedelic bliss states and the sugar-craving mouth-watering feeling of a hungry sweet tooth. Through it all, Reed’s persona as a joyful multiplexer of wide-eyed, enthusiastic weirdness shines through, as contagious and sweet as a series of gummy bears melting into one on the tongue.

Festivus is a secular holiday celebrated on December 23 as an alternative to the pressures and commercialism of the Christmas season. Originally created by author Daniel O'Keefe, Festivus entered popular culture after it was made the focus of the 1997 Seinfeld episode "The Strike",[1][2] which O'Keefe's son, Dan O'Keefe, co-wrote.

The non-commercial holiday's celebration, as depicted on Seinfeld, occurs on December 23 and includes a Festivus dinner, an unadorned aluminum Festivus pole, practices such as the "Airing of Grievances" and "Feats of Strength", and the labeling of easily explainable events as "Festivus miracles."[3] The episode refers to it as "a Festivus for the rest of us".

It has been described both as a parody holiday festival and as a form of playful consumer resistance.[4] Journalist Allen Salkin describes it as "the perfect secular theme for an all-inclusive December gathering".[1]

1. Vertical Mouse 

The vertical mouse is oriented in a natural resting position for your arms. We both got pink ones! 100% of Barbie dolls never have wrist problems because they never have to change the positions of their wrists. Imagine if your life could be like that!


2. Create a Standing Desk

Standing is the new sitting, and if we had the choice between sitting to death and having a massive couch-fire party in the backyard, we would choose the fire party. Plus, standing desks are so much easier to make than sitting desks. All you need is 20,000 packs of Pez. Just don’t eat them all right away - eat them starting at the sides and ending in the middle, after you’re done with those emails!

4. Use an ethernet cable

Everybody is always asking us for that wifi password. And we tell them over and over again, “It’s E86ZAYRS63CXRF! All caps, no spaces.” We finally realized that all we have to do is give everyone their own ethernet cable, problem solved.


5. Flux (Blue Light Filter)

We totally get it - it’s a BLAST looking at screens all day. In order to keep doing what we love - and not burn holes in our eyeballs - we got this app called Flux that filters out the blue light coming from our phones and computer screens. Plus, it gives you a really pretty orange glow when you’re hacking at night, so that you never again have to “fake” that “tan” that you got from spending “so much time” outside.


6. Disc Drill

Reedlet found this app called Disc Drill that shows you what is taking up memories on your hard drive. He saw that a bunch of stuff that he didn’t even know about was taking up the memories!! So he ditched the dead weight and now we actually have more space to hack, and to finish mixing our other songs! It’s a dream come true. And speaking of dreams…


7. Electric Sheep

Sometimes hacking can be tiring - for you and for your computer. When we take a break for a nap or a snack, we like to show the same kind of love to our computers with Electric Sleep. Electric Sheep is a collective Android Dream, on a computer screen... saver. It’s so pretty!! Here’s how they describe it: 


8. Lastpass

We used to write our passwords down on all sorts of things - paper, cereal boxes, tyvek, bathroom stalls - but always had trouble finding where we buried them in the yard. So we use Lastpass now because it generates secure passwords for us and keeps them all in a password-protected chrome extension. Our yard is finally looking like a yard again, bounce-castle and all.


9. Watch Hackers

Watch Hackers (1995) - it’s really plotty, and sort of hard to understand, but they are so determined! Whatever life throws their way, they will find a way to look amazing, AND hack - through the darkest night! And that made us feel better about how late we stayed up. In fact, because of Hackers, we started staying up so late that the moths had time to turn into butterflies and then back into moths! So inspirational. And exhausting!


10. Listen to Darknet Diaries Podcast

True stories of true hackers in real life! We weren’t entirely sure what hacking was until we listened to this podcast. Well! It sure is something! We’re still not sure if we’re doing it right, but Reed did fix the modem the other day, and Snarklet learned how to install an SSD and new RAMs! All thanks to these 90s kids, making hack look SO good.
