Parrotfishes rove over the reefs to feed. Using their beaklike oral jaws, they remove algae along with portions of the substratum, leaving visible bite marks. This grazing have been recorded on coral reefs surrounding the Europa Island in 2018. This recording have been processed to help listeners focus on the grazing sound by filtering out some snapping shrimps for example.
