Chikezie Okorie, born on Septmeber 19, 1989 is a R&B singer/songwriter from Reno, Nevada. He stands 6 foot, 7 inches but you can argue that his passion and humbleness is what actually allows him to stand as tall as does. Yet, nearly impossible to miss when he is on stage with his unique style of a voice that has listeners confused as to who he sounds like. He began his early performances singing at talent shows at the age of 7. In middle school, Okorie was known to be shy around his peers and singing in front of an audience never crossed his mind until he performed a rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" that caught the eyes of his classmates and soon to be the most talked about artist in Northwest Reno at such a young age. Throughout his teen years, he was well known in Reno for his participation in many local talent competitions that caught the attention of local figures and leaders such as the Brian Sandoval, Governor of the state of Nevada. He toured Nevada in 2008 and 2009 to perform some of Motown's greatest hits. Few of his noted performances and cameos motivated Okorie to pursue his love for singing as a profession. Okorie took time out from performing to pursue a hopeful career in football playing for Fullerton College in Fullerton, CA and playing semi professional football in Reno, NV. He then rose and stepped away from the field when asked to perform at the cities annual Martin Luther King Dinner where he sang Michael Jackson's "Man In The Mirror" and shocked audience that such a soulful voice can be compared to one of the greatest. He was also awarded the Legacy of Hope Award. In the Summer of 2011, Okorie opened up a concert for Compton, California's very on Keenan Jackson known as "YG", famous for his hit single "Toot It and Boot It" that peaked #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2011. Audience claims Okorie stole the show with performing Trey Songz, "Love Faces". His 15 minutes of fame led to jaws dropping and women screaming his name. That same week, Okorie flew down to Los Angeles to audition for NBC's 'The Voice". He was sent home on the final day of call backs. He recently moved to Las Vegas, summer of 2013.
