Man from Rijeka, currently in Tampere, Mixin' it up

Jet setting Rub-a-Dub-Junglist FLeCK is a producer and DJ whose name’s on everybody’s lips when it comes to fresh Jungle bangers, wobbling 140 workouts and bringing warmth to a room full of happy, dancing people.

FLeCK is an electronic music producer and DJ, signed on Dread Recordings and Serial Killaz Recordings. Born in Athens, Greece, he started his musical journey in the mid 90’s and today his sound has spread worldwide.

FLeCK’s music is characterized by a Roots Reggae Dub vibe mixed with futuristic Jungle breaks and fat bass sounds. It has found its way into the record boxes of the likes of Public Enemy’s DJ Lord, Rusko and many other big names in the game around the world such as Congo Natty, Jumping Jack Frost, Kenny Ken, Ray Keith, 2 Bad Mice, Altern8, Nicky Blackmarket, as well featuring on Diplo’s Mad Decent blog and receiving massive worldwide radio support from London’s legendary Kool FM to BBC 1Xtra.

He has collaborated ,written and remixed tunes for artists like Zion Train, Mungo’s HiFi, Ray Keith, Congo Natty, Chopstick Dubplate, Aries, JStar, Soom T, Dj Solo, Dub Pistols, Taiwan MC, Earl 16 and many others. 

His music has been released on prestigious record labels around the world such as Scotch Bonnet, Jungle Cakes, Born On Road, Serial Killaz, Dread Recordings, Congo Natty Bass, ODG, Liondub International, Nice Up! and Universal Egg to name a few.

In recent years he has travelled the world playing clubs and big festivals (Outlook, Boomtown, Glastonbury, Seasplash, Overjam, Wee Dub, Incubate, Drop Beats Not Bombs, Let it Roll, Eden) regularly passing through Austria, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Germany and Greece. 

He has shared stages with Horace Andy, Alborosie, Congo Natty, Zion Train, Dub Pistols, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Aba Shanti-I, Stand High Patrol, Prince Fatty and many, many others and the clear message this sends out is that FLeCK’s love for sound system music is embraced the world over!

In 2015, 2016 and 2017 he was nominated as Best Breakthrough Producer and Best Breakthrough DJ at the We Love Jungle Awards.

Americo Brito nasceu em Cabo Verde e bem jovem emigrou para Europa.
Na Holanda iniciou a sua vida musical,em Roterdao, onde ainda hoje ele vive.
Em 1979 começa com seu primeiro grupo musical intitulado Babylon e mais tarde Djarama.
Gravou o seu primeiro LP a Solo em 1980 em Portugal intitulado Xintado na pracinha.
Esse foi um grande sucesso e no mesmo ano gravou o Segundo Lp na Holanda 
com o grupo Babylon intitulado Control na Schiphol. 
Em 1983 grava o terceiro album com o seu grupo Djarama intitulado Nha d'stino.
Com o desaparecimento do grupo segue a sua carreira a solo 
e grava o quarto album intitulado Survivor Fidju di Miséria em 1990.
Em 1993 regressa com o CD, Amor de min ku bo. 
E ultimamente participou em varios outros trabalhos musicais, 
tal como o CD Crianças di terra que foi feito pra ajudar 
as crianças carenciadas de Cabo Verde,
O CD Caboverdianos longi Di Terra,Faixa Sodade di Sara
O CD Sentimento Caboverdiano 
e o Cd Unidos pa Saninclau para ajuda das vitimas da chuva.
E recente numa produçao televisiva intitulada ROTTERDAMSE SAUDADE –
heimwee Naar Kaapverdie (Saudades de Cao Verde),
directed by Koerd Davidse e porduzido por Marc Thelosen,. 2007,
onde se encontra o seu novo single intitulado Bo Filosofia de Vida.
Hoje ele se reinvendica na musica tradicional Caboverdiana 
onde a paixao para a sua Terra Natal leva-lhe 
a seguir os grandes da musica de Cabo Verde,
cantando nos Festivais e pelas salas de espectaculos da Holanda e da Europa,
a nostalgia, o calor, o amor, a saudade das ilhas de Cabo Verde.
