The 'Documentary on One' unit is currently one of the most successful radio doc unit in the world - having collected over 260 national and international awards since 2008. Their website contains over 1,700 documentaries - the largest free online radio documentary archive anywhere in the world - stretching as far back as 1954. 'Documentary on One' productions are radio stories about real life in Ireland and beyond.

Sister Mercedes (sistermercedes@hotmail.co.uk) is the solo project and full band (http://sistermercedes.bandcamp.com/) of Darren Van Asten who played guitar and sang in Junkbox (John Devolle and Shoko Ariba) a rock n roll three piece from London who released their debut LP on reaction records. 
The Sister gave Pete Doherty a cd and Junkbox were asked to join the Libertines on tour. And later continued touring with Babyshambles and Pete's solo shows. Junkbox also toured with Primal Scream, Little Barrie and The Young Knives and many other bands. They played one of the last gigs at CBGBs in New York before it closed. Recorded several XFM radio sessions. John Peel also used to play them on his radio show. 
When Junkbox called it a day after a storming final gig at the 100 club Sister Mercedes formed a new band called The MoonShakers. Recorded many songs and played some explosive shows then split up. Boom! gone. 
The Sister had been writing many solo tracks along side Junkbox and The MoonShakers and continues to do so. Most songs are played at solo gigs, just voice, guitar and stomping foot. Very lo-fi. Simple and raw. Or with the full electric Sister Mercedes band with John Devolle (again) and Dominic Pettit and Raf Bus.
