The journey of The Soulies is one marked by a series of profound moments. The moment that started it all was a decision to leave society behind in favor of a backpack, a brand new ukulele, and a dream to find the reason behind it all.  On the most memorable 420 of his life, Dave (better known by his trail name ‘Lele’) proceeded to walk northbound through the Appalachians with a mission to walk alone until his heart was too full to be alone any more. Step by step and mile by mile the dream to express love and unite to the world through music was made so clear it could not be ignored. In late December of 2015, The Soulies became a reality. Russell Dowden of Rockstar Magazine describes their rise on the Austin scene: “Like everything going on with this band it seems to be moving lightning fast!” 

Lightning fast is right. Since forming, The Soulies have played over 100 shows in and around Austin, were the featured interview in the March ed. of Rockstar Magazine, appeared on FOX 7’s ‘Good Morning Austin’, were an official selection for 2016 Red Gorilla Music Festival and compilation album, and have spent hundreds of hours gracing stages across Texas - including a headline slot at the South By East Side music showcase (hosted by Rockstar, Bandspan, and Soundrobin). The Soulies are known for their memorable melodies and soulfully joyous sound that reminds their fans (the VIBETRIBE) that dreams are alive for those who are willing to take the next step.
