so, john w here. long time no see. honestly hadn't expected to make a return with how long i was gone, but i'm back and surprisingly more creatively driven than i think i've ever been, even NR is back from the dead and undergoing genuine progress that i hope to share some time in the future (watch the music/art block kick in in like a week). but yeah, tl;dr, i have returned and i hope you all enjoy whatever content i shove out.

also i didn't really have a reason to come up with a new username but i think it sounds better than just using my name lol

EARTHSECRET is yet another interpretation of a classic ol' Undertale AU: "Underswap" (alternatively, Moon creates another freaking underswap take). However, this take derives from a Deltarune AU called "DELTASWAP". Moreover, EARTHSECRET is an anagram of "AETHERCREST". This AU unremittingly utilizes more unique swap choices than the traditional ones, for instance: the Holidays swap with the Dreemurrs, the ghosts swap with the skeletons, angel swaps with knight, barrier swaps with fountain, etc...

Alphys still swaps with Undyne. The beloved pair is meant to be swapped with each other no matter what. Alphys is partially a cyborg for a reason. In some way, she's still a "royal scientist", albeit the job works somewhat differently here as she's also a militia. The royal guard equivalent to this AU is the "maven executive" and Alphys is the superior of said duty. In genocide route, she transforms into an angelic being while also being a more enhanced cyborg thanks to the ability of HOPE. However, you can't hit her due to an unstable defense, but she will die by melting due to "hoping too much". You just have to survive wait many turns for the form to fail on itself. She's really giving all she's got.

Fun fact: The background sound from "The World Will Live On" is the CORE ambience accompanied by fire crackles as a replacement to the wind sfx. You can hear it when you're looking at the CORE building from the distance.

This replaces "Hotel," specifically in the MTT Resort replacement. This is Undyne's Survival Resort, a corporate paradise in the middle of the wilderness where you can pay ridiculously high amounts of money to look at nature. Hardcore fans of Undyne's show complain that this is a sign that she's lost touch with the passion and genuineness that made her show special in the first place. But that's just because they haven't gotten the resort's signature Madjick Massage yet! People have a hard time remembering what they were upset about after those.
