Panorama Bar resident and Love On The Rocks label head Paramida joins us for the 92nd edition of the Phonica Mix Series. 

Since moving to Berlin in 2010, Paramida has since become a key figure in the cities ever-expanding electronic music scene. In 2014 she launched her Love On The Rocks label which has seen releases from Massimiliano Pagliara, Telephones, Fantastic Man, Elles, Violet, Alex Kassian and more.  

Having spent five years working at Oye Records, Paramida is certainly no stranger to digging. Each of her varied DJ sets brings a new beacon of pleasure and surprise. Blending proto-house to trance, percussive gems with high-energy techno, Italian dream house and irresistible new beat. Sounds that are very much reflected in this here recording. Fantastic Man has become one of the most exciting and revered producers on the circuit having released music on the likes of Mule, Love on the Rocks and Kitjen. He is also the founder of Superconscious Records alongside Griffin James.

As a DJ his musical taste is broad and wide ranging, drawing upon far reaching influences from the realm of House, Trance, Downtempo, Balearic and beyond. As such you never quite know what you are going to get but that's all part of the fun right?

Most recently he has been dabbling in a fast paced, new age approach to House and Trance - channeling the free spirited energy of the 90's and a sun kissed era for dance music.

Some might feel it to be nostalgic but he is very much at the forefront of a new wave of producers and DJ's looking to breathe life into and reinvigorate the sound.

This mixtape is one of the best we've heard in a while and is rightly suited to a Friday.

This one’s dedicated to all the lovers! 🥰 After having the best time playing at their party last year Cuddles asked if I would do a mix for their series. At the time I didn’t really have any ideas for a mix and I didn’t want to just churn out another general club promo mix but I’ve always wanted to do some kind of Valentine’s themed mix and it seemed like it would fit pretty well with the idea of the party. Rather than just doing a mix slow jams or whatever I wanted to try and keep the mix quite uptempo and I like a challenge so I decided I would only include tracks that had the word ‘love’ in the title. So here it is, one hour of euphoric house-ish ruminations on love! 😘❤️
