ACA02 - DJ Yirvin - Maximo Creador

DJ Yirvin is one of the most prolific and important music producers that have emerged out of the Venezuelan 'Miniteca' (Mobile Dound Systems) underground since the early 2000s. Alongside DJ Babatr, DJ Deeprh, DJ EL Mago, DJ Yoiser and others, he is one of the true originators of the Venezuelan dance music continuum known as Changa, with subgenres such as Street House and Raptor House, though his sound later evolved into a unique style of his own known as Hard Fusion.

"El Máximo Creador" showcases the vast range of styles Yirvin explored during the early 2000s, including some of his most iconic tracks, as well as lesser-known gems like "Muévelo," "Party People," "Crazy Bomb," and a remix from Siu Mata and Amor Satyr of "Ya Yahoo."

Originally from Normandy now based in Paris, Adam BFD first burst onto the scene with his distinct, emotive driven productions, bridging the gap between electro, breaks and house through tear-jerking melodies and cinematic euphoria. Adam’s music represents escapism in its truest and most colourful sense; an outlet to pour his emotions into as the words begin to fail him. Adam’s world has grown and formed its very own ecosystem, feeling personal yet touching upon universal truths. In 22’ Adam’s immersive storytelling has continued to unravel, with three stand out releases on UK mainstay Lobster Theremin and an EP on Shall Not Fade’s Lost Palms label; a watershed moment in his reasonably short career. Now with his own label, Studio Goncourt, a new home to house the full spectrum of his productions, he continues to open his world to a more diverse audience with bass-driven productions and not, with his releases being supported by UK medias like Mixmag and DJ Mag. Whether it's producing for some of the best underground labels in the world or performing behind the booth, Adam BFD’s otherworldly and varied approach is welcomed with open arms and unmistakably his own.

Londoner Joe Milli joins the Faux Poly family this summer with his instantly classic EP Manifest Leisure. As a long-standing staple of Peckham's music scene, Joe has held down residencies at Tola, Balamii, Rinse FM, and now SWU.FM, along with hosting a packed out in-store party at Planet Wax earlier this year.

Joe's sound is based upon Techno and UK Funky through and through. His radio shows and DJ sets reflect an eclectic taste, branching confidently from these genres, perfectly encapsulated on this release.

Together at the end of 2023, all four tracks rely heavily on the Vermona Mono Lancet bass synth along with steady drum-tool like rhythm, always shining a light on the delivery: super playable club music that isn't overworked. Spanning Techno & Bass, there's a proper UK Funky groove embedded throughout the whole EP.
