As the first rays of sunshine are caressing the horizon, so too does the festival season approach. Amidst the anticipation, Nikita (@josue-cammaert ) emerges as the next purveyor of the series. This enthusiastic digger is known for his lingo in various genres influenced by his inclusion in the Brussels-based Sono Ventura family. Influenced by our beloved 90’s club scene era from Belgium’s clubs to the streets of Detroit, Nikita’s musical journey knows no bounds. Nowadays, he finds his inspiration in South American artists like Elias Sternin or Samuel Jabba, next to the usual bunch of grooves from electro house to trancey beats and breaky riddims. 

Warm yourself up for the next hour as the Brusselian tells you the enchanting story of how bloopy bleeps, naughty acid lines and sturdy drums live happily ever after. The main characters are his personal favorite new- and old school 90’s-inspired records. In Nikita’s hands, these elements converge, forming an entrancing mush of sound blending together in the form of our 19th Hot Series, expertly encapsulating the HOTBOX sound. Catch sight of him at Esperanzah Festival’s newest stage this year, next to a few of many open airs in Belgium this summer.
