2012 kicks off with a fresh selection on Superfly Studio.

DJ/Producer duo Dreadsquad have made themself a name for progressive sounds in a variety of styles, such as Dancehall, Dub, Ska and Reggae combined with heavy bass and electronic influences, yet always with a lot of conscience about the history of this music.

This new production, the MT-41 riddim, was made entirely from sounds of the famous Casio Casiotone MT-41 keyboard (whose brother, the MT-40, provided the sounds for the legendary “Sleng Teng” riddim in 1985). This way, it revives the spirit of the origins of computerized Dancehall.

Dreadsquad has combined it with a variety of  artists from all over the world – on this selection, you will find versions by: El Fata (Nigeria / UK), Skarra Mucci (JA), Dr. Ring Ding (DE), Doubla J (Costa Rica / DE), Prophet Z (USA) and Ranking Diximal (FR)

Anyone who has been following the reggae, dancehall and dubstep soundclashes and who attended the Mungo's Hi Fi this last years will know Mungo's Hi Fi's riddims bring the vibes in the dance. 
Selectah Easy T Jam/Digital Steppaz  [Ex-Esperanza Soundsystem] recorded these vocals during his 3 months stay in Kingston/Jamaica 2008/09. 
He recorded at Easthouse Studio in Yallas as well Swallofield/Kingston at Wheelers Kitchen in a huge recordingsessions like 28 hours. Lot's of Singers just passing thru or/and came by the invitation of Selectah Easy T Jam to this place. We had nough green around to make and put some signs to europe into the sky. 
Lots of other recordings for Mungos Hifi, Jahtari, forthcoming label of Selectah Easy T Jam has been recorded.

Reggae Roast, one of the UKs leading Reggae Soundsystems & party starters, have forged a reputation as the leading light in the resurgence of the British Reggae, putting on some of the best parties and festival stages across the country. Reggae Roast’s first release on Trojan, went straight in at #1 on the Juno Reggae charts, while getting good radio support from the likes of David Rodigan (1 Xtra) and Ras Kwarme (Capitol Xtra) and Don Letts (6 Music), while their follow up single ‘Real Reggae Music’ featuring the legendary Tippa Irie, was included in the Trojan Records 50th Anniversary box set, selling thousands of copies.

In 2015 Reggae Roast built their own custom Soundsystem pushing the boundaries of soundsystem aesthetics, taking soundsystem design into the 21st century. Their soundsystem remains the cornerstone of their events and with it they have run stages at prestigious festivals such as Glastonbury, Outlook Festival (Croatia), Secret Garden Party, Eastern Electric, Boomtown, Telerama Dub Festival (France) and many more. 

At their events they have hosted some of the biggest names in Reggae including  Horace Andy, The Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry, Sly and Robbie, Collie Budz, Mad Professor, David Rodigan, Suggs (Madness), Channel One, Trojan Sound, Gappy Ranks, Finley Quaye, Aba Shanti I, Mungo’s Hi Fi and many many more. 

Reggae Roast have built a strong fanbase over the years with nearly 200,000 social media followers. They have racked up over 8 million plays on Soundcloud alone and their monthly podcasts receives 10s of thousands of plays. They have played all over the world from India and Thailand to the UK and back. This year they were personally asked by Shy FX and Chase & Status to play at their events.
