Titus A Johnson AKA Dhakwan Young was born December 12, 1990 in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in the Mattapan/Hyde Park area. He began rapping in high school in talent shows and freestyle circles around Boston.  In 2009 his family moved from Boston to Columbus, Texas. He attended Columbus High School where he quickly made a name for himself by distributing his mixtapes. 2010 he graduated high school and then attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. He studied for 2 years but left college to pursue music professionally. Dhakwan Young shadows his influencers like Ray Charles, Master P, Snoop Dog, and Dipset.  With his own unique style, he developed and mastered the dynamics of motif, cleverness, trends sending, harmonizing and lyrical contrast flow. His lyrics are based on the struggles and hustling of the life he encountered growing up.  In 2012 Dhakwan Young began to do music professionally by featuring on rappers’ songs nationwide and exploring the Texas music scenes. That same year tragedy struck and life’s challenges took priority for a few years. In 2017 Dhakwan Young re-emerged with a remake of “A Boogie Drowning” remix which gained over 100,000 streams on Soundcloud. Later that year he collaborated with Hustlin B on the single “UZI”.  In 2018 he released an Ep “She” (Sacrifice Hustle Exceed). A few months later he released a mixtape “SHE” That Mixtape is in the Texas Underground scene.

Dhakwan Young is a family man who is a working provider for his family. The young bold, talented, rapper/singer currently produces for multiple artist nationwide. Music was embedded in him by his father, Eddie L Johnson, who was the leader in a blues band in the early 80s. Dhakwan Young is currently signed with (AHMG) A Hit Music Group with the single release of ‘333’.
