Mera Bhai releases new single ‘Work Ain’t Nuthin’’ via his imprint Morning Raga Recordings. A club ready tune, it channels the sound of the city grind - with its titular refrain ‘work ain’t nuthin’ but it pays the bills’ connecting already across burnt-out online channels via a little teaser.
Karthik explains:
“I was in the midst of touring Flamingods, juggling work projects, and trying to write a Mera Bhai record, so this was a super quick jam that came to life about 15 minutes before I had to leave for tour. I remember being sat in the tour bus, sharing the video of this on socials and people went pretty nuts over it. I guess I was really channeling the hustle that I was in, and people really connected with that sentiment.”
Subconsciously channeling the plate spinning grind that most creatives today find themselves in, Mera Bhai felt it was important to honour the shared sentiment and give that tension a sense of release. “The creative hustle feels harder than ever, everyone needs that sense of creative release more than ever...”
