Let’s go Mediterranean, shall we?

Barcelona-based label Balearic Ensemble lands for the first time on our platform featuring the remixed versions of Residentes Balearicos' "Simplemente Cachonda", EP previously released in July. Gallo, LuVa (Lukkas + Da Silva, label owner), and Residentes themselves let the creativity juice flow wildly and freely to provide interesting (re)interpretations of the beautiful originals.

We were solicited to premiere Gallo’s remix, the man behind Berlin’s long-running Balearic club night Buena Onda. "His rework of 'Cachonda'", wrote Mikey Sibson on the PR text, "shuffles along a half-lit beachfront on the precipice between night and day, a low-slung beat carried through by an orchestra of warblers and songbirds soaking up the last rays of sunlight. A breezy, piano-led ode to life in the slow lane".

And we agree with Mikey: Gallo’s version does take you to places! While you listen to it, don’t forget to have in hand a cold beverage, preferably a gin tonic with a small slice of orange peel inside.

After a long process, we managed to get in touch with an Australian four-piece that went by the name of Boxcar from 86-92, producing a lot of music ahead of its time. They've recently started re-issuing their songs with modern producers on remix duty and after asking Romain FX to work on a remix, it was only natural that Fauve Records would work on a limited-edition vinyl-only release with a stellar cast. For this edition, we have asked some of the coolest cats in the game to hand us a remix with their specific touch and an array of bangers came about. Donald's House with a rave house-inspired remix, Fabrizio Mammarella with a more EBM/Italo touch, Jonny Rock with a dubby finger-licking-good take, and of course Romain FX with an intergalactic voyage.

After Altamont is the band alias of Stavros Potamitis & Constantinos Parisinos, a project that focusses on a blend of psychedelic rock, Greek folk influences, soulful dub and dark tinged techno, with the main creative focus relying on analog machines, live instrumentation and recorded vocals. Following the original release of the 2017 this psychedelic album is re-imagined by a collection of artists and friends who focus on a slower, hypnotic, more transcendental groove. 
A Strange Wedding takes us to alien outer space with his version of “Scoring for Fools” and Life Can Dance premiere it for you.
