Little Fritter returns to Hot Creations, delivering an energetic pair of house cuts across ‘My People’.  

Australian DJ/producer Little Fritter is on a roll of late, with the boisterous talent and Need2Freak boss serving up  high-octane originals and remixes via Club Bad, elrow, Sola, &Friends and Thick As Thieves across a highly  productive 2022. A previous signee to the label in August of 2020, April sees the Gold Coast artist return to Jamie  Jones and Lee Foss’ iconic Hot Creations imprint with his two-track EP, ‘My People’. 

“I wrote ‘My People’ in the weeks leading up to playing before Jamie in Sydney last year. Once I got the  call up about the show, I instantly felt inspired to write something specifically to play in my set that would  represent a true Jamie style of sound and get the crowd locked in and on the level. After the show, I sent  the track to Jamie, and he signed it. I’m really excited to share this one because of the way it all came  together, it just feels wholesome, and I think this release reflects on the O.G sound of Hot Creations, which  massively influenced me in my early days of making tunes :)” - Little Fritter.  

Guided by a resonant vocal at the heart of the production, ‘My People’ is a vibrant and warm ride through funky  bass licks, swirling synths and bright stabs, while ‘FLY HI’ harnesses disco-influenced loops and further vocal  interludes above rolling percussion and sweeping melodies across almost seven-minutes of joy.

Boris Ross & Baggi link up for two suitably hard hitting tracks.
Baggi was raised in Bosnia but is now based in Rotterdam and across the course of twenty years he has put out house and tech tinged with a classic style on labels like @defectedrecords. He has also done studio work for giants like Christina Aguilera @xtina and @tiesto while playing major clubs and festivals round the world. His partner here is Dutchman Boris Ross who always cooks up tracks that blow up the floor. Between them they use an array of hardware and FX pedals, synths and drum machines to really make a big impact.
Fantastically wonky opener, 'What You Do' is more stripped back but still has killer bass and rugged drums that will get the club marching. Synth stabs and loopy vocals all help lock you into the groove while wonky pads add charm to the whole thing.
'Owl' is a brilliantly wild and energetic cut with prickly synths, big vocal samples and rolling, high impact drums. It bristles with vitality like the best of early Windy City house music and has a streetwise swagger that fits perfectly with this label.

Last spotted jamming on Rejected with Michel de Hey in summer 2019, Rotterdam long-timer Boris Ross returns to Rejected with two more primetime devices.

'Hee' goes back to one of the oldest - and best - tricks in the house music book. Everything is built up around a simple but stately vocal sample that gives the track character and consistency as the nagging bass riff jig and jags in a funky angular style around it.

Meanwhile on 'Fake' our kid Ross unleashes his inner Norris Windross like an absolute boss. Bumping UK bass business with steamroller jacking beats and smoky spoken word vocals from Chicago Hustle, there are heavy nods to both UK garage and classically rooted house right here. A straight up club flattener that will complement any record you mix it with, DJ devices as explosive as this don't come around every day. In fact there ain't nothing 'Fake' about either of these tracks.

As always, expect nothing but real talk from Ross and Rejected.
