Jacid Jam from SQL & low& with Out of Sorts remix. In a serendipitous turn of events, three DJs found themselves entwined in the vibrant tapestry of electronic music, culminating in a collaborative EP set to enrapture audiences worldwide. The trio, comprising Goetzlich(Switchbox), Pim(SQL), and (Marcelo)Dreamawaken, embarked on a musical odyssey that began over a decade ago in the heart of Cologne. Despite their initial connection in 2010, it wasn't until 2023 that destiny intervened once more, catalysing a reunion that would redefine their musical trajectory. Goetzlich and Pim found themselves sharing the stage at the esteemed Evolution Festival in southern Germany, igniting a dormant spark of collaboration. The seamless fusion of their sounds reignited their creative synergy, beckoning them towards a shared vision. Recognizing Marcelo's existing partnership with Goetzlich under the moniker "low&", Pim seamlessly joined the fold, adding depth and dimension to their collective endeavor. In this debut EP on Beat & Path, you can sense an unwavering connection formed over years of mutual appreciation and artistic journeying. The track titled "Jacid Jam" whisks you away to a distant planet nestled at the edge of the cosmos. A mesmerizing Moog ambiance envelops your thoughts, guiding them to distant realms. Handling remix duties, Out of Sorts infuse the groove with strength, layering vintage percussion reminiscent of Plastikman atop an entrancing, acidic bassline. Italy’s Qubiko intensifies the original’s atmosphere with his up-to-date, jackpot remix. He combines his deep signature sounds, with Ron’s true Chicago house roots. A combination that will capitative and thrill house and deep-house heads alike.

Industry veteran Paolo Martini is next to join the Emerald City family with Red Rocks. Bringing the funk, he delivers a solid two-track release with irresistible groove and dance-floor disco heat.

Paolo Martini has been in the business for over 30 years, first releasing with Gianni Bini on various labels such as Defected, Strictly Rhythm, Universal, Azuli and Nervous. They soon established their own label Ocean Trax and handled remixes of Kylie Minogue and Jamiroquai. Paolo has also been testimonial for several clothing brands including Diesel and Adidas and also the Rane MP2015 mixer. His following co-productions can be found on acclaimed labels such as Hot Creations, Snatch!, Moon Harbour, 8Bit, Saved and Cecille amongst many others. 2017 starts the beginning of a new adventure with a string of releases geared up under his new solo project.

What a year it’s been for Franky Rizardo. With a strong presence on Defected (including a highly coveted In TheHouse curation session) and massive EPs on the likes of Circus and Abode, he’s now set to sign the year out in style on Rejected. 

One of the most successful and heavily ID’d tracks in label boss Joris Voorn’s sets since the summer, ‘Call Upon Me’ is all about subtle senses and stages of elevation. Strutting with a classic house jack, there’s an ageless Chi-town swing to the walking bassline as we roll deeper and deeper into the groove. 

Suddenly a springy key riff pops up on the vibe horizon and becomes the foremost focus of the track rising and rising and rising some more with a delicious build-up that keeps on giving for longer than usual deep house conventions would have you believe. Paying off with a simple but crucial staccato twist on the keys, and even more juice in the rolling bassline bedrock, it’s one of those tracks that total disarms and dancefloor and blindsides them with a whole new sense of energy.
